About self-care and prioritizing your body and wellness goals:
It’s simple, not easy.
A client of mine last week shared that she often thought to herself “Why is it so hard to commit to my meditation/yoga practice/workouts/cooking a meal?” And then she thought, “Why is it so easy to skip the activities I most desire like my meditation/yoga practice/workouts/cooking for myself?”
And then, a revelation.
“If it’s that easy to skip it, maybe it’s just as easy to DECIDE. To ACT.”
And just like that, she shifted her paradigm from it being hard (impossible to attain) to being easy (a simple choice she had the power to make). Humans are funny creatures, forgetting we hold the power to act, to change not only our behaviors but our fundamental beliefs, habits, energy. And we can decide how it feels, how we feel within the process.
Something inherently challenging became inevitably easier.
Simple.
She chose to make it so.
It’s a bit hard to create new habits – which makes it worthwhile.
It’s a challenge – which we are ready for, made for, really.
It’s satisfying – because we pour our energy and resources into what we most desire, and we reap the sweet rewards of our actions.
Simple, not easy.
And oh, so worth it.
How can you take action today in a simple way to feel better, to tend to your body’s needs, to experience greater vitality?
Please share ONE act you’ll commit to for your body and well being this week. Go!
